Vigan City –The Department of Foreign Affairs brought to the province its services through E-mobile passporting held at Provincial Capitol atrium on July 23, 2015. Through the information dissemination initiated by the Provincial Government for two months, thousands of applicants from different municipalities flocked to avail the services. This includes the first time applicants and those who wanted their passports to be renewed. “We worked this out together with the DFA in order to serve our constituents and lessen their burden in going to the regional office in La Union to secure their passport”, Gov Ryan said. Eight hundred applicants with complete requirements were screened out by the DFA within the day. Former OFW Beatriz Malapit of Bungro, Magsingal was one of the clients served. She wanted to renew her passport just to be ready whenever her former employer will request her to be back in her workplace. “I appreciate the move undertaken by Governor Ryan.
This really helped us especially to those who cannot afford expenses in travelling to San Fernando like me, just to secure needed documents.” The activity was facilitated by the Provincial Tourism Department. Mr. Ryan Astom, the Provincial Tourism Officer. Two phases were conducted wherein 800 applicants were successfully served. #MVA
