Cabugao New Municipal Police Station Installed

Cabugao, Ilocos Sur – Officials from the Provincial and Municipal Government, and the Philippine National Police inaugurated the newly built municipal police station of Cabugao on August 5, 2015. The building was funded by the PNP national headquarters for an amount of 4.5 million pesos. The Local Government of Cabugao donated the lot and the one million worth of equipment such as tables, chairs, cabinet, computers and other facilities needed inside the new police station. The construction of the project was pushed through with the support of Governor Ryan Singson, Cabugao Mayor Edgardo Cubangbang and Regional Director P/CSupt Roman Felix of PNP-RO1. This is to facilitate a more efficient and at the same time convenient delivery of services in keeping peace and order. Cabugao PNP occupied a portion of the building owned by the LGU for how many years. According to Police Senior Inspector Ramil Llarenas, Chief of Police of Cabugao, the old building will still be used as police community precinct to increase police visibility.

Gov. Singson Welcomes Sec. Roxas and LCEs to LMP Conference

Vigan City - The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur headed by Governor Ryan Singson warmly welcome Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, Senator Fedinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos Jr. and the officers of the League of the Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Luzon Chapter in their visit to the province. Ilocos Sur hosted the LMP annual cluster conference which bears the theme "Tuloy-Tuloy, Sama-Sama." held at the Vigan Convention Center last July 23 and 24, 2015. Around 700 Local Chief Executives headed by LMP National President Mayor Leonardo Javier attended the assembly, Senator Marcos met the municipal mayors in the evening of July 22 while Secretary Roxas served as guest speaker in the following day during the LMP Conference proper. Roxas pronounced new interventions to improve the services of the Local Government Units. These include among others, the efficient release of Internal Revenue Allotment from the Bureau of Treasury directly to the bank accounts of LGUs,
